So if you had to buy small packets equivalent to 50 gms you would require
50/7.89 =6.34 packets costing Rs 10 each so total cost Rs 64 ( rounded up ). So 135 - 64 = Rs 71 extra is what you pay.
As you can see from above calculation for the same amount of Coffee you are paying MORE THAN DOUBLE THE AMOUNT OF MONEY . This is just one item you can check the same strategy being used across various grocery items.

All these years we have been first taught and it actually was that larger packs were cheaper than smaller packs. Now that this idea is firm in the mindset of consumers. Companies have changed their strategy by doing the opposite and by pricing bigger packs higher . Simply because they have studied the buying habits of consumers. People prefer to pick one large pack instead of multiple small packs both because of the previous mindset and due to convenience. So by doing so they earn much higher profits for the same quantity of the product.
