The former Labour leader said that after its historic general election defeat in December it was clear the party needed a "fundamental reconstruction" if it were to win again. "The Tories are going to be dominant, they are going to try and create a real hegemony," Mr Blair told an audience at Kings College London.
"Our voters, once they’ve voted Tory the first time...the second time it might be easier for them."
