In US news and current events today, a toddler gave this pizza delivery man a surprise hug — little did he know, the man had just lost his daughter.
When she posted this surveillance cam footage to social media, Lindsey Sheely thought she was simply uploading a sweet interaction between their pizza delivery man and her 2-year-old son, Cohen. But she soon updated her post to explain the unexpected hug meant so much more to Ryan Catterson than she initially realized.
Recently, Catterson and his family unexpectedly lost their 16-year-old daughter, Alyssa. Sheely drew attention to a GoFundMe for Catterson and his family, to help pay for funeral and travel expenses. At the time of the pizza delivery, Catterson was waiting for his other children, who live out of state, to arrive for the funeral.
As of Feb 20, the GoFundMe has surpassed its goal of $5k.
