Up next- Solving Chronic Homelessness:
Mobile Loaves & Fishes in Austin, Texas is taking a unique approach to combating homelessness. They’re using technology to come up with innovative housing solutions.
Recognizing that shelter only serves a basic need, the Community First! Village is a neighborhood of tiny homes designed to help residents make lasting changes in their lives and find new ways to connect with their purpose.
In the 51-acre village, residents also have access to on-site support, such as physical and mental health care and meaningful job opportunities.
As part of their recent partnership with ICON, the village now features a series of 3D printed homes for the homeless. In this video, a resident shares his experience as he looks forward to being one of the first to move in.
