On Tuesday, March 3, 2020, Calvert Cadet Squadron was alerted to a distress beacon that had been activated, so we formed a team that was tasked to go to Lee Airport in Annapolis in search of the beacon. The team narrowed their search to one plane and found the beacon, which was a non-emergency alert, and followed the proper protocols for turning the beacon off. The team performed this mission exceptionally well and was awarded a ribbon at their weekly meeting.
