Corona Virus SARS-COV2 Pandemic : Why Will It Tate A Year Or More To Make A Vaccine ? The FDA has green lighted a path for laboratories to speed up the process of discovering and producing a vaccine that will prevent infection form the SARS-COV2. However this will stiii require a year or more before any vaccine is readily available.
This may seem excessive but in reality quite a short time for a vaccine to be studied, developed and brought to the public. Under normal circumstances this process could take four to eight years, so a year and a half is an expedited time frame.

Dr. Glenn Messina a physician practicing since 1986 explains the process of developing a vaccine and how and why the FDA is so involved in almost every step of the process.

Vaccines have been utilized since the early 1900's, in the early days before governmental oversight vaccine creation and distribution was unregulated. Doses were often either to high or to low, at times the wrong label was placed on a vial or worse the wrong vaccine.

FDA oversight makes modern vaccines safer and more effective. this video is a thumbnail of the process.
