Covid19 is spreading into Europe, South America, and Africa since it emerged in the Chinese city of Wuhan, Hubei Province, last December. The number of newly reported cases outside of China is rising across the world, particularly in nations, such as Korea, Italy, and Iran. The world fears the virus might turn into a pandemic. Starting mid-February, the number of Covid19 cases in South Korea started spiking drastically due to a mass outbreak at a religious facility in Daegu. South Korea has the second-most number of confirmed cases in the world, but its quarantine practices and innovative measures, such as the ‘drive-through’ testing facilities, are being hailed by the foreign press.

In this week’s The Point, we analyze the global media’s evaluation of South Korea’s quarantine efforts, and the government can do to further tighten its measures against the virus.

2월 중순경, 대규모 종교시설 집단감염이 발생하면서 확진자가 급증한 한국은 확진자 조기 발견으로 더 이상의 전파를 막기 위해 진단과 검사에 총력을 다하고 있다. 세계에서 두 번째로 확진자가 많지만 한국의 신속한 검사와 드라이브스루 등의 혁신적인 선별진료소 등은 외신의 호평을 받고 있는데.
