Communications Deputy Minister Pinky Kekana says challenges faced by digital migration hinder the issuing of spectrum. Kekana visited Senekal in the Free State to inspect the Broadcasting Digital Migration. The purpose of the visit is to identify and resolve challenges in the implementation of the broadcasting digital migration in the province. The Free State is one of the provinces earmarked for the phased implementation of the Broadcasting Digital Migration project. The department is introducing interventions to accelerate the pace of household's migration to digital television. It's noted the free to air digital broadcast network and broadcast content is already live and active throughout the country. Our reporter Aphumelele Mdlalane joins us live.
