In US news and current events today, the husband of LA County DA Jackie Lacey pulled a gun on Black Lives Matter protesters.
On March 2, 2020 a group of Black Lives Matter protesters gathered at the home of Los Angeles District Attorney Jackie Lacey.
They claim Lacey, who is on the ballot on Super Tuesday, has refused to meet with Black activists. Lacey’s husband David opened the door, pulled a gun, and threatened to call the police and shoot the protesters.
The incident was captured and shared by Black Lives Matter protester Melina Abdullah. Jackie Lacey later addressed the incident. The incident came a day before Jackie Lacey seeks re-election in the California primaries.
Black Lives Matter activists have organized public protests against Lacey in the past 500+ people have been killed by on-duty police since Lacey first took office as DA in 2013.
